Is there a local spot near you with a great story to tell? It could be a historic home down the street, a neighborhood structure, or a beloved local business that’s rich in history and character! Now is your chance to help celebrate these irreplaceable landmarks!

Residents and property owners in Derry Township are invited to nominate buildings that reflect or enhance the historic character of a property for our Historic Preservation Award.  Eligible buildings include residential, commercial, public, and religious structures.

The nominations will be judged by the Preservation Committee of the Hershey – Derry Township Historical Society. Once a year, the owners of winning properties are recognized and receive an exterior plaque of recognition.  Nomination is year-round.

Two ways to submit a property nomination:

1. Download and print the Preservation Award nomination form, and mail to the museum. Attn: Vicki Caloiero, Hershey History Center, 40 Northeast Drive, Hershey, PA 17033.

2. Nominations and photos can be scanned and emailed to: Preservation@hersheyhistory.org
