REMEMBRANCE TREE ORNAMENTS

Remembrance Tree History
Each year when the Train Show goes up, so does the Remembrance Tree. The tradition started in 2000 by volunteers Bunny Yorty, Wanda Reid and Marilyn Leiby (below) as a way of raising money for the Historical Society. Individuals or organizations purchase an ornament in memory or in honor of someone, and despite inflation the cost has remained the same. The number of donors has grown over the years, and in 2022 twenty-five donors raised $920 for HHC operating costs. Bunny (right) continues the tradition which celebrates its 23rd year in 2023.

Celebrate your memories with an ornament on our Remembrance Tree, on display throughout the holiday season. Your remembrance and tribute for living or departed loved ones, friends,
and family supports the Hershey History Center.
We will accept your remembrances until Monday, December 19, 2022. Please respond as soon as possible to allow time for your ornament to be personalized with a tag denoting your remembrance.
An acknowledgement card will be mailed as specified below. This gift is tax deductible.
