Morning: A trifecta of touring -  Our Trees of Bethlehem Tour will feature visits to the Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts and the Moravian Museum.  The “Trees of Bethlehem,” dispersed across five historic sites, is a dazzling array of Christmas trees, beautifully decorated by the Bethlehem Garden Club.  This year's theme, "Around the World," will showcase unique decorations and ornaments from Christmas celebrations across the globe.  

At the Kemerer Museum, delight in this Victorian era home, with its special holiday exhibit of guilded pieces... and then learn of the earliest successful settlement of Moravian Christians in the United States, which dates to 1741.   Hotel B moravian star
The Moravian Museum is the oldest building in Bethlehem, and is a National Historic Landmark.


Other stops include the 1810 Goundie House, 1869 Luckenbach Mill and the Single Sisters' House

PLUS, see the Anniversary Holiday Putz Trail; a Putz is a traditional Moravian decoration that features ornate figurines, animals, and building scenes to tell the Nativity Story.


 

Hotel Bethlehem

LUNCH:  Included at the beautiful Historic Hotel Bethlehem.

Known to locals as the "Hotel B," the hotel has served a diverse  and eclectic mix of owners and clients... including the steel industry, soldiers convalescing after combat, missionaries bringing the word of the Gospel, and an abundance of happy bridal couples!   

Following lunch, grab the brochure for a self-guided tour of the hotel, and admire her glamorous holiday finery.

Browse the aisles of hand crafts and artwork, try to create your own hand blown glass ornament, take in a choral performance, and sample sweet-smelling candied almonds, home-style kettle corn, stuffed pretzels, and dipped fruits like caramel apples.  

Bring samples to the bus to share on the way home!
