eatures species from tropical, desert, and Mediterranean climates, and ORCHIDS enjoy their own special exhibit! Outdoors, you’ll find a sundial from 1890... and the time of day for Tokyo, Rio, London, Calcutta... and Baltimore.

 Afternoon:  Walters Art Museum & Fort McHenry National Monument and Shrine

The Walters' collection of Egyptian, Greek, Roman, Byzantine, Ethiopian and Western Medieval art is among the finest in the nation, as is the museum's holdings of Renaissance and Asian art. 

Conclude the afternoon at historic Fort McHenry.  Francis Scott Key drew the words of our National Anthem from his peronsal experiences on the Chesapeake Bay during the War of 1812, but did you know the Fort witnessed the Civil War, and was a training station during WWII?
