HERSHEY-DERRY TOWNSHIP HISTORICAL SOCIETY'S ANNUAL HOLIDAY TRAIN DISPLAY opening in November!

Intended for train enthusiasts of all ages, the exhibit showcases multiple trains and over 25 interactive displays on a large-scale layout. The exhibit features handcrafted historic Hershey landmarks such as the Cocoa Inn, the Derry Church Schoolhouse, the Hershey train depot, and a historic Hershey trolley, and Derry Presbyterian Church Sessions House. Hands-on controls for trains and miniature amusement rides attract the youngest of engineers.


Admission: $1 for children/students under 18; $2 for adults, or $5 per family. Members are free. Admission donations benefit the Historical Society library, museum and educational programs and events.


The annual holiday trains how is open beginning in November of every year, operating during regular Historical Society hours until the Friday following Thanksgiving. The train operates daily EXCEPT ON SUNDAYS after Thanksgiving through December 31st.


Note: the train will only operate until 4:00 p.m.
The display closes at 12 p.m. on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.
