This old family cemetery is located on a private road on the Brandt farm off Witmer Road. The cemetery is in Conewago Township, Dauphin County, just south of Derry Township. The current owner, Jay Brandt, reports that he has documentation recording the ownership from 1795 to the present: 1795 until 1832, the Stevic family, 1832 until 1838, the Coleman family, 1832 until 1842, the Bachman family, 1842 until 1861, the Brinser family, 1861 until 1874, the Jacob Brandt, and 1874 until the present, the Joseph G. Brandt family and descendants. The years may be off a little but it is extremely rare that such a chain of ownership is passed on through the various owners.
